PRELIMINARY RESULTS OF lncRNAs AS BIOMARKERS FOR COLORECTAL CANCER DIAGNOSIS

نویسندگان

چکیده

Abstract Introduction lncRNAs are strands larger than 200 nucleotides that do not encode proteins. They have regulatory functions in cell proliferation, apoptosis and migration. stable over a long period may diagnostic value colorectal cancer (CRC). Their availability as effective biomarkers for CRC screening would represent substantial advance, tests could be performed with minimal risk wide acceptance. The aim of this study is to evaluate selected plasma potential CRC. Methods Prospective cohort between patients operated on (cases) healthy (controls). Blood samples were processed the biobank obtain by centrifugation. Subsequently, levels three CRC-related (HOTAIR, CCAT2 PVT1) determined laboratory Electroanalysis Group University Oviedo (GEUO). Results In initial results, an overexpression genes was observed patients, HOTAIR being one best differentiates patients. addition, combined determination better results individual each them. Conclusions studied overexpressed patient sample. sample size needs increased confirm trend. It logical postulate molecular technologies will lead development modalities individualised treatments.

A review on miRNAs as new biomarkers for colorectal cancer

Background & Objective: Since colorectal cancer does not often have phenotypic symptoms in the early stages, the study of biomarkers for the diagnosis and prognosis of the tumor is very important. MicroRNAs are one of the most important biomarkers which attract the attention of many researchers due to a variety of reasons, including their non-invasive nature; these molecules are a group of non-...

Plasma Level of miRNA-7, miRNA-409 and miRNA-93 as Potential Biomarkers for Colorectal Cancer

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is among deadliest cancers all over the world. Regarding its high mortality, some researches have focused to discover new applicable diagnosis methods. In this regard, circulatory miRNAs has been received huge consideration as promising biomarkers for early detection of CRC. The study aimed to evaluate the expression level of miRNA-7, miRNA-93, and miRNA-409 in plasma of...

Role of Molecular Biomarkers in Colorectal Cancer

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is amongst the most widespread cancers and is a most common cause of cancer associated mortality universally. Since previous decades, it has been cleared that CRC develops owing to the buildup of a series of genetic and epigenetic changes in the normal colonic epithelium. Regardless of the current development in surgery and therapies, overall survival of end stage CRC pa...

Epigenetics in diagnosis of colorectal cancer

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a third most common epithelial carcinoma. CRC is known to develop from the early precancerous lesion to full blown malignancy via definite phases due to cumulative mutations and aberrant methylation of number of genes. The use of serum biomarkers that is non-invasive to discriminate cancer patients from healthy persons will prove to be an important tool to improve the...
